Default Bad baddad experience

Guys please tell me if I'm out of line and misreading this whole scenario... So I was going to blackout my tank with black gas cap and fuel gauge and a black tank console and a new speedo. Well I pondered which brand and it came down to baddad and advanblack or however you pronounce it. I decided baddad, its an American based and I figured quality would be better. Well not so much ... The only part that fit correctly was the ignition switch. The speedo wouldn't fit correctly and the indicator bar hole amwas at least an 8th too big. On my model its a compression fit where the bar sits on top and connects to the back for a snug fit. Not even close to secure fitment. The speedo hole had no position stud and the snap ring wouldn't fit at all. All in all a horrible experience cost me 150 on paint but they did take the part back so... Appreciate your input. Here are some pics

Well they took it back does HD sell what you want most likely there parts would fit right. The one thing I do is make sure parts fit before I do paint or other mods.

I could not find any HD black Road king dash console for sale at least. I was prepared for some fitment issues but IMO this was beyond fitment adjustment. It was literally just a hole in the dash the you could see the indicator bar through. Just a big ole hole. That style the bar sits on top of the dash and the back clips in for a compression fit. Their style you just use srews and washers and hope for the best. I could have lived with that if the rectangle hole was fit better... Maybe lol

Bummer you had a bad experience, did they try and offer to send you a new one? It has aftermarket and things happen. I had a good experience with them when I bought a whole new rear end for my old bike.

No they didn't offer and I didn't ask guy said that thats how they are and plenty of people have them that way. I guess we all have different ideas of fitment acceptability.

Just another example of the crap that is available in the aftermarket.
I don’t want to tar all aftermarket suppliers with the same brush because there are some very reputable ones also. But yeesh there is so much crap.

I'm not saying all of badads products are this way by any means but this particular item was not thought out very well. I was studying advanblack's same item (after the fact of course) and they had it to where the indicator bar was seated in a fitted slot on top like it should be... I guess I assumed way too much giving how everyone raves about baddads stuff, just assumed it would be spot on.
