What did you do to your bagger today Part II

Bayou FLHR-M8-128" Yep, except I got it in black. for a straightforward install, it was a pain in the hindquarters to get that nut on and tightened on the frame end. Mongo 1958, yes took a couple of pics, but they don't show much because I kept the mid-frame air deflectors on after trimming the R/ H one to go around the frame mount for the link.

Not today, but yesterday, I got the CB turned on at the dealer, installed the antenna, and today installed a new HD battery, $200 later.
Two days ago, I installed my lighted (finally the correct ones) hand controls, in prep for the CB install.
Now I can turn my full attention to the mini bagger, my 2011 Royal Enfield Classic 500. Need to get tubing to build my racks for its luggage.

Took mine in yesterday for a front tire. On my last ride of the 2023 season, I noticed a small spot of rubber delamination on the front tire, so I didn't feel comfortable going into the 2024 season with that happening. The tread had plenty left, but better safe than sorry. While they had the wheel off, they recommended front wheel bearings as they seemed a little "gritty", so I went ahead and replaced them, even though I'm not sure if they really were or not. Just another $500 day at the dealership, lol.
Got all the stuff sitting in the garage to do a three hole, so I'll get that completed here pretty soon.

I got the new sissy bar and luggage rack in. These are not on the bike much. Just when my daughter rides, and over night rides. But, I chose this instead of another Tour Pak. I have a large Saddlemen bag that will hold everything for my wife and me for two weeks.
Of course, just using the rack and not the backrest is also an option.

I decided last year that when my Ultra Limited hit 50K miles I would look for something newer to replace it. Well, it's at 49,800 and it's had an occasional stumble (power loss for about half a second) for a few months. So I've been looking at newer bikes. Anyway, I said to myself, no, you are a cheap SOB so you need to fix this bike and ride it another 20-25K miles. I changed plugs, wires, fuel filter recently just because it was time. But that didn't fix the issue. I reseated connectors at ECM and throttle body, but no fix. I rode 60 miles last weekend and the bike stumbled at least a dozen times. Yesterday I rode 80+ miles and it stumbled 4 times. Today I put on my big boy pants and decided I would fix it. Got digging and found the wire to the front fuel injector had rubbed and worn through the insulation down to the bare wire. Wrapped it up good with electrical tape and went for a 50 mile ride. No stumble. Cautiously optimistic at this point. I even gave the old girl a bath.
red wire worn down to copper.
