so ive got the hd 360 adjustable passenger floorboard mounts on my bike. over the winter the chrome on the section that bolts to the frame started peeling on one of them, cant have that. im looking at having the few chrome parts rechromed or just buying a pair of the rivco mounts that accomplish the same thing for like 400$. i would expect it to probably cost the same to rechrome the hd mounts. id appreciate opinions on which direction to go with this. how well does rivco chrome hold up? i did read one review saying the pins on the rivco mounts had bent under weight. i think the rivco mounts are nice in that they can be adjusted without tools, but if it sacrifices durability, that may not be the way to go. id imagine the hd p&a ones are probably made in the same chinese factory as the wish.com ones, but theyve been pretty decent until the peeling chrome thing.
