Default 2007 Street Glide

Just looking for thoughts on this bike. 26,000 miles. One owner who is a friend. Tires were installed in 2018 (might need replaced due to age). 3 seats and 2 backrests. Only change that was done is exhaust. He is asking $8,000 ish. Thinking if i can get it for $6,500-7,000 would be a good deal.

Not a bad price. Can you test ride it? Buddy had an 07 Street Glide that vibrated so bad between 1,700 and about 2,700 rpm that it would shake your shoes off the floorboard.

Yes I will test ride prior to price discussion. He has said nothing about any vibrations, just doesn't ride much anymore since everyone he knows unloaded there bikes. I'm just looking for something the wife will be more comfortable on vs. the softail or custom panhead.

I had a 2007 Street Glide a couple years ago. I had to replace the compensator which was a costly job. I've heard they're a common problem on that year bike. Otherwise, it was a great bike. They're pretty popular in my area. I SOLD mine to a local Indy dealer for $9000 cash two years ago. I had it listed in an ad for $9000, stopped in his shop, and he had seen the ad, and he wrote me a check right then and there for the bike! Even gave me a ride home! Of course he sold it a few days later for $11,000, so he did all right.

I think that would be an okay deal. Getting it for $5,500 would be a good deal. The tires absolutely need to be replaced as they are aged out. You can get a Street Glide that is 5 years newer than that for $10k, which will have the newer frame, larger fuel tank, and other upgrades that have happened over time.

Does it have ABS and cruise control? Those would be major factors for me.

Owning an 07 myself, I am a bit bias.
Compared to my 06, the 07 is certainly a better setup.

That being said, there is about $500 worth of dust and filth on that one; and it's black, so take off another $1,000...

All joking aside, I bought my 07 Ultra almost 5 years ago w/ less than 12K on the clock for $7600.
I recognize HIS value of THAT bike may differ, but you can find one w/ a tourpack for that kind of price and the wife will be WAY more comfortable than without it.
Having that extra storage for her stuff isn't a bad plan either.

As for that bike, I wouldn't pay more than $6500, especially from a friend.
