On my 2019, stock police controls, the right hand red button turns my passing lights on/off.

As to the radio not shutting off, try holding the left hand 'select' button (the one on top of the controls) for a few seconds and see if that turns off the radio quicker.

 

Thanks a bunch for all the information guys. My buddy ain't on the forums but if I can remember how to use Facebook Messenger I'll copy and paste all this info and send it to him. It appears to be a great bike for him just needs a few things ironed out.

Edit: I forgot I meant to ask about the passing light switch. Is there an indicator or the speedo letting you know the passing lights are on? Since they were taken off of his bike if there is an indicator it might help him troubleshoot.

On the most recent FLHTPs, it will be indicator light number 6 on the tach, just above the high beam indicator. It is multi colored green and yellow depending upon what mode the emergency lights are in. Confusing, I know, but when it is off, that circuit should be off.

His will not have number 26, rain mode, as that came out with RDRS in 2020
