Default carbs on newer bikes

I was sitting around shooting the bull with another guy the other day and the asked if my bike was FI. I said of course...all 07's are FI. He said they were not, that you can still order HD's with carbs. I was in no position to argue as I was not sure if it was factual or not. So I ask the gurus, can one still order a new HD with a carb?

No, as far as I know '06 was last year. Heck even the Sporty is FI.

Tell him he missed the dead line it was in fall of 05 when the last order could be placed for a 06. In 07 all harleys are efi even sportsters.

That was my arguement to him. Basically told him ALL bikes were FI. He said I was wrond and as Willie G is not my direct supervisor I had to just say...oh hmmm..that's interesting. I still think I am right. hehe

Yep, the are bye, bye. I bet you could probally order an engine with a carb, but that would be about it, IMO.

I ordered my '06 RK in March '06, build date of Apr. 19th '06, took delivery May 3rd, It was originally ordered by the dealer to be a black EFI bike, they were able change it to black pearl with a carb.
'06 was in fact the last year for carburetors on touring bikes.

K.
