Default I need advice

Help, I ride a 02 police road king, stock except for SE slip ons. 51,000 miles. Originally the bike was used in Florida, I bought it in Kentucky. While there I used Rev Tech and HD 20/50 and ran 92 and 93 octane. Fast forward to Summer 06, I moved to Phoenix with triple digit heat and 91 octane with pollution control additives, winter and summer gas. After a couple of months my bike started making a noise after about 2000 rpms best described as a ch ch ch in rapid succession sort of like the machine gun noise we made as kids. I continued to use 20/50 and for a couple of oil changes used straight HD 50 weight. I have added liquid horsepower and another fuel additive sold at the local HD dealer. Three mechanics, all independent, say this is a typical V Twin Rattle. What do you think? and how can i get rid of this noise.

The bike being an ex-police bike from Florida then being transported to Kentucky then to Phoenixmaybe the reason for the ch ch ch sounds. It is home sick for the cool salt breeze of thecoast. I found that a mixture of rum and oil works to rid the bike of any strange noises. Change the oil and drink the rum.. Things will be better ... [sm=alcoholic.gif]

Does that mean change to another weight or grade of oil and drink rum or tequila? Or does it mean just keep on doing what I'm doing and drink rum and Tequila. By the way, could it be valve noise, if so how can I correct it.

It could be running lean, what was done to adjust fuel mixture ? Slipons will lean out the bike and Higher elevation makes bikes run even leaner, Id add a pcIII or fuel pack, what you hear could be detonation. Take it to a hd dealer for another opinion.
