Default Fan Kit for Touring Models (Anybody use this?)

Fan Kit for Touring Models

Complete with a blacked out "Bar & Shield" decorative cover, this handsome Chrome Fan Kit is great for parade duty, rush hour traffic or anytime you are sitting still on your air cooled V-Twin. New cover design and stronger brackets ensure that this fan will stand the test of time. Lab results show a 20 degree reduction in oil temperature (measured at the oil tank) when using the fan. Kit includes all hardware and wiring for fan installation and horn relocation.

This product is available in multiple variations. Be sure to look for the one that fits the specific model and year of your motorcycle.

91550-00C

Fits '97-later FLHT and FLHR models equipped with fuel injected Twin Cam or fuel injected Evolution®1340 engines only. (Does not fit on carbureted models or models with Head Bolt Covers.)

Chrome

MSRP US $379.95

I have an 05 EG std efi, and i have been looking at the same kit. But 400.00 with tax! Thats a lot of money. Heres what i am going to try. I have a 12volt auto dash fan. Its a bit larger than the fan kit, and is ugly compared to the HD kit. But i ony plan to use it in such places as Gatlinburg, Tn. where the traffic is fender to fender. gotta go, more later. Jack

so anyway,i intent to use my fan for temp use. it should not be too much trouble to make a temp. clamp and i can stow it in my saddle bag when i dont need it. best of all the fan is less than 20.00. that will save me 380.00 for the skull collection from HD that i am going to use. win-win.
