Default tourpak question

I'm considering a new Road Glide and have a question on tourpaks. I like the kingsize pak but I hate the backrest with arm wings. I like the backrest on the chopped tourpak but want more cargo room. Can I use the chopped tourpak backrest on the kingsize tourpak?

Thanks,
Richard

Well I pulled off my backrest on my UC it has six mounting studs that go through the king size tourpack. The chopped one probally has 2 that will not mate up.

I had a local upholstery shop make a pad for ($100 no armrests) for a Kingpak. Fantastic backrest when mounted with a solo seat.

I'd like to see pictures as well. I've never seen a picture of a king pak with a chopped pak backrest.

The lid for the King TP comes with pre-drilled holes for those backrest arms.

Perhaps you can seperately order a King bottom and chopped lid, or buy them on ebay.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. I wonder if the chopped backrest will align up with two of the six? I could use plugs on the other four.

Don't know about lining up holes, but you can also buy the HD touch-up paint for the plugs in the armrest mounting holes.

I've seen it done. Plug the holes as required and if need be, make some new ones. No big deal.
