Okay, ah gotta ask....HOW did it git bent???

<sigh>

Disregard - hell, ah read that original post - jest a brain fart!!

Ah'm with the others, though - if it bent the frame, it'd seem that they'd be lookin' ta total the puppy. IIRC, it's sumthin' lahk 23 hrs. shop time ta replace it.

Are you telling us that bike isn't totaled after what it went through. I would be raising all kinds of hell with insurance to total it. Glad you are wanting to get back in the saddle after that.

I know you had a horrible accident. Hope you're healing OK.

It sounds like you're looking to heal your bike too. I laid my XL down a couple years ago and insurance picked up the bill for the tune of $2800. I would suggest that you give the biketo your dealer for the winter and have them rebuild it good as new. Hope you have insurance.

26.5 hrs lbr is what the dealers out here charge - I think warranty time is around 17 hrs

A bend can be fixed.... There's a few places across the country that can do it right.. repairing a roller (just removing all the tins and a few more things) is around $450.00

There are 2 good ones in California...

So Cal: Dr John's (Great Guy and does Great Work) 714-630-4075
No Cal: The Frame Man 916-920-1010

Hell yeah I'm getting back on... I've been riding 32 yrs... I'm not gonna puss out now. I'll be riding with much more awareness and probably scared shitless when I pass an oncomming car, but I can't wait to get back on!
