I just purchased a 2008 Road King classic and need to go through the process of getting new pipes. I have the Fat Cat 2 into 1 pipes on my Heritage and they are kick-*** pipes, however, I just do not believe that the Fat Cat pipes are the way to go with my new Road King. Any suggestions as to the best value as far as sound, performance, horsepower, torque, etc? What are really great pipes to put on a Road King? I really love the sound of the Fat Cats, is there something out there that is comprable to them?

 

I'd keep the original pipes on for a year or so. Just ride with some fellow bikers that have loud pipes.

 

do a search on loud pipes or slip ons there are a ton of threads on this subject. I would not leave the stock pipes on there too long change them add a tuner and a hi-flo air cleaner so the bike runs cooler. Just my opinion

 

my 2 favorites are the vance and hines big shot true duals and the rinehardt true duals, they are both pretty loud and do produce a few more ponies....
