Is the wiring harness the same between a 07 Roadglide and 07 Electraglide
I am wanting to make my 07Electraglide Classic into a Roadglide Classic. I am upside down on my EG to make a fair trade on a new one. The only parts I have any question about is the wiring harness. Will I have to get a new one or can I use the one I have. Thanks MDodson. I did try a search and did not find the info I needed

I'm currently working on changing over my fairing on my 07 street glide. In my case, the wiring harness's are very similar but not the same. I'm just going to use my original harness and lengthen some of the wires.
The benefit of buying a new harness is that you could go back and forth between the two fairings whenever you wanted to. The drawback is that the wiring harness's are one of the most overpriced items that are required for the swap. My recommendation would be to pick up a service manual and a parts catalog (Not the P&A catalog) for your bike. This will help you to make your own decisions on what is and is not needed.

Fairing is the same all the back to 1998 if I remember correctly. They did change the angle that the fairing mounts at somewhere around 04 I believe. The difference in the fairing angle is preety difficult to spot, even if your looking for it. The mounts (the fairing mount that mounts to the neck of the bike and the mounts that hold up the inner fairing from the engine guard) need to match depending upon which style your going for.
