07 Glide - getting into winter and noticed the back end feels a bit loose.

Tyre and suspension pressures are as per manual - everything else look sound

 

Do you have wire wheels? spokes could be loose. How many miles on your tires, could need a tire?

 

Alloys with 9k on the tyres - plenty of tread - might just be the tyres don't perform too well in cooler climates

 

how much air in the tires?

 

front 36 rear 40 n 15 in the shocks

 

Drop the shocks down a couple of pounds unless you weigh 300lbs

 

prol just cooler tires and road......stock dunlops? try a switch to metz 880's when yer due for better traction in all conditions.

 

i bought my 06 sg used with 4000 miles on it and it was loose on the ride home took in for service put new back tire on it went out of town still loose. took in and had neck bearing tightened with 20lbs of torque more than the spec has not been loose since

 

Have you thought about a stabilizer???

My Roadglide sometimes feels "loose" or skiddish sort of underneath my seat. almost like the frame is flexing. I gave up and bought a True Track stabilizer today to see if that fixes it.

I let you know what happens.

 

Pretty much something I don't think you're going to get ride of. My glide still feels loose in the rear end and I've got a forum witness who can verify that the rear will step out on ya a little bit.
