Default Supertrapp Supermega

Merry Christmas every one
I'm sure that quite a number of EGC owners have installed the Supertrapp Supermega 2 into 1 system by now.
For those who have, are you using closed or open end plates and what number of disks .
I seemed to have settled on closed cap with 18 disks.

GlennsGlide,
I don't really like loudmufflers so I went with 9 discs. I tried every combination of discs before settling with 9. Just make sure you use plenty of anti seize if you plan on trying trying different numbers of discs, if not be prepaired to buy extra bolts.

Closed with 17 or open with 9.............those 2 combinations produce the same amount of flow, and seem to work best for these v-twin motors.

I just didn't like how quiet the closed was and how it had a "phfft" sound to it, and I didn't like how blatty the open endcap was.

Closed 17 disc for me. Dyno'd it with several amounts, and 17 was the magic number for me.

When I put in my cams, I went with 17 discs and a closed cap at steve's suggestion and it worked very well, my spark plugs are a perfect light coffee cream color, and I have nice throttle response. I am now getting ready to go to a 95 build with head work as well, so I think I will go up a disc or two and see how that works with the bigger bore motor.

20 with the closed cap! Had tru-dualls with Supertrapp cans before, and I gained 5hp and 8 lb ft tq just changing the exhaust!! Never tried any other combo, I want it to be quiet! Never realized how loud it is until I had my ears flushed last summer!!
