This is one of the times where we can come together and offer supportto someone who has suffered a loss such as you have. We have also been through this twice before with two furry friendsrescued from shelters. The first (Cleo) is in a pet cemetary and the second (Bailie) is at home with us in her 'urn'.

It's not easy but it does get easier as time passes. Both times after the loss of each ofour dogs we got another from the shelter shortly afterwards and continued the tradition of treating them like the children we never had.

My sympathies to the both ofyou for the loss of your Louie, I know how difficult it is right now.

Sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is as hard as losing a loved one. We had to put down our 15 year dog about 3 years ago. Hardest thing I ever had to do. Now we have a 3 1/2 years old lab.

 

I know exactly what you're feeling. I'm a macho kind of guy that works in a very macho line of work. When my four year old Doberman suddenly died, I sprouted pigtails and bows and cried like a little girl when I buried that dog. Everyday that dog was alive, I knew she was special.

Reading about your situation brought back some memories and some tears. Hang in there, bro.

 

Sorry for your loss, This is one road I don't like to ride and have on 2 occassions. Just remember you will always have their memory with you, that can not be taken away.

 

I cried the day I put my 13 year old "pup" to sleep.. I was 48 at that time. A good dog is truly a blessing. Best wishes to you and sorry about your loss.
