Default Red Turning Signals or Smoked Lenses?

What do you think of these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=160201540991

I get the sense that they basically smoke the existing turn signal lights as opposed to create a "red" look.

There have been a few others who've suggested that there is a conversion kit to turn your turn signals into combination turn signals and brake lights... For those of you who've done either of these conversions, can you share thoughts?

The cost of these smoked lenses is cheap - $25. Any idea on the cost of the turn-signal conversion to brake lights/turn signals? Closer to $200 I imagine?

Thanks!

Cant comment on the smoked lenses. Never been a real fan. I have the conversion kit on my UC and think it is one of the best up-grades you can do. Really helps the rear visability.
Cost, if I remember correctly is in the $50 to $75 range.

One thing for sure in most states you can't run any red lights to the front of the bike.. The runing-stop-driectional adpt is put out by a few aftermarket kits Kuryakyn seems to be the most popular and the price is around $60.00 - As far as the lamps goes... I would hold out and get the Kuryakyn LED set-up the not only lok great they're bright

yes - it is the best upgrade you can get - really lights up the backend. I had it on my RoadKing also. Price is correct.

Yep.. that is what you want.. the Kuryakyn LED setup with the run turn kit.. Absolutely the best setup for safety and visibility.. Tail light flashes 4 times when you hit the brake. also 1/2 (of the tail light) flashes with an arrow in LEDs when you hit the turn signal button. Turn signals (red lenses rear) stay lit, stop, and turn as well.. Can't beat that unless you hook up your SG dragger light and or get a strobe..!!

I don't like the looks of the smoked lenses but it's a personal choice. You are the one that has to like them and nobody else.

I have the smoked lenses and they light up just fine. I follow two or three people who have the "BEST kit" that you all think is wonderful - and because of the commotion it causes - braking (blink blink blink steady) and such, I can't tell if they are stopping, turning, or tapping the brake. So unless you're talking about something different - I'm an experienced biker on a bike behind them and it confuses me (and I'm not a stupid dude) - can't imagine what it would do to a cage...
