I like it. I almost got one but went with heavy breather this time around. Just by my seat of the pants feel I believe it has a bit of performance edge but that could just be me trying to justify the purchase.

I hear ya' there! I was all over your thread about the heavy breather and himhawing around about the price versus performance and look...I thought the heavy breather was alright but I wanted a black filter that was a bit smaller with great intake values and I think the Wimmer fit the bill 100%!!! I was gonna' wait to post about it til' I had time to put together an informative post with values etc. but ..............

I wanted the black filter and also thought the HB looked a bit big. So I went to my local shop and they hada bikeon display that had the HB on. It was nice and the color of the filter was almost like my BlackCherry except a little dull. It worked out real good. The little lady said it matched my PURPLE bike.[]Let us know what you think after you ride it some.

I believe the sock is an extra 40 bucks but Bart w/ Cateye Customs hooked me up and I am sure he'll hook you up too if you ask him. I priced around and he offered the best deal period!!! The fact that he is an official HD Sponsor works too!! Hit 'em up......great folks to work with!!!

I have a question on this black filter. I have a buddy who wants a black filter and I was wondering, is the filter actually black? I know the K&N is actually white but you use red oil so it makes it that red/pink color. Also, I have seen green filters, is there oil green? Can you buy black oil forthe K&Nand if so where do you get it?
