if you ever tip over in your garage w/o the crash bars the damage might be substantial

Sinse my bike didn't have one, I was considering one of the new Lindby models...maybe in black, only the footpeg part is chromed, looks kind of different and understatedly cool to me, and still have the protection

Nowski Yeah It looks cool when you take it off and it feels very macho! " Real Bikers, Mendont need no effin Engine Guard" till the one day in the driveway yer cleanin the bike and it falls over somehow? and boom there goes the tank a nice dent from the handlebars, Ride Safe, Bill

I would recommend to NOT remove the crash bar(s) I was recently involved in two accidents both times the crash bars prevented serious damage to the bike.

Without the the crash barsa tip over in the garage at the right angle can do severe damage to the bags, fairing and tank.

I'm on my third set of crash bars withthe original tins.

As nice as it looks I would not recommend it. I had to lay mine down the other week and damn glad I had them on. I also just purchased the saddlebag guards to avoid future damage to them.[:@] You never know!!! I'm one that leans towards funtion over looks.
