I have a short stubby black rubber antenna I bought from Pep Boys auto store for $9.99 and it works great. Same threads, screwed right on, no problems and no more getting poked in the eye. LOL!

I have both on my Ultra and the radio works fine. I haven't tried the CB since installing it.

I bought the set (CB and FM) from Reno Cycles and they work, but the CB reception and transmit fell off badly! I went back to the whips for CB....the shorty limited me to 1/4 mile...the whip gives me a good mile and a half on CB and that was important to me.

A lot of people have suggested to buy the short rubber one at Auto Zone for $ 4.99. And I did and it works great. I have not lost a station. Even brings in that weather station. No more getting slapped in the side of head with that long whip of a anntenna. Bob.

I had mixed results with the rubber one, would not pick up in my garage and had a good bit of static. Cut the original one on my SG down to about 12" and life is good now. Not sure why the rubber one did not do very well, based on the others here saying they work fine.
