Harley copied my, since stolen, 2002 stripped down Electra Glide, notice the paint scheme, and the SG was born!!! In all seriousness, allot of guys were stripping down their clunky Ultra's for a sleeker look, and HD caught wind of this and took off the parts for us, jacked up the price and in 2006 the SG was added to there inventory!!

Cool, thanks! I was one of those in the wrong... I coulda sworn the Street Glide went back to '01, '02. One o' those will be my next Harley, I think. It'd be nice to get behind a fairing for a while!

YEP rick180 Is CORRECT ! went looking at a RK the SG sitting on the floor right next to it. Wile sitting on the RK I asked the sales man if I sould sit on that Street Glide, He told me You can sit on every bike in the show room if you'd like..lol
Sat on the Street Glide and with in 30 seconds fell in love !
