I have a house without at garage, and I am looking for an way to store by bike inside away from the outside eliments, on a cost effective budget. I do have a shed, but it is not big enough for it. any ideas or thoughts would help..also, I cannot build a garage because the lot is too small. maybe a small shed. thanks.
befor i had a house witha garage i got a new shed delivered with a ramp 8x10 covered the ramp with expanded metal for traction i think it was under 1000
A friend of mine bought a used enclosed cargo trailer for under a grand. weather proof, and when he needs it he has a way to transport his bike or anything else
I have access to a, i think 8X10 box trailer..and was thinking about just using that, then I would have a trailer if need as well. But im worried about security with a trailer. I can lock it, but a lock only goes to far.
As for my existing shed, it is really not mine. The neighbors built it for their pool and told me if they built it about 3-5' onto my property i could have half of it. and the way my drive is, i barely have to spots in the back, so im going to have to be creative..
Jorswift: I second the recommendation to use an enclosed trailer. I would park it with the entrance for the bike to the rear driveway, take the wheels off and block it up with wood cribbing, put in a dehumidifier, put a trailer anti-theft lock in the trailer hitch and put steel crossbar locking bolts across any entrances. Don't put any identifiers on the trailer saying anything about motorcycles. I have parked my enclosed trailer with an expensive dirt bike and a Sportster inside on my front driveway for over two years. No incidents to date. .... BC
