Here we go again. I am 5.6 own a Street Glide and am considering going to the HD 6.5 wind deflecter. The 4 inch that came on the bike is not bad but may be a problem in the rain. I have the reach seat which lowers my riding height. I am aware of other companies who make windshields but not sure of the quality. Zanotti sells the 6.5 HD for $100 includes shipping. Suggestions welcomed.

 

Run a search on ebay, you'll find high quality shields for under $30.00. I just bought an 8" from SinCity for less than $30.00

 

Can you post a web site for SinCity. I get a **** site that does not sell windsheilds (lol).

I'm a few inches taller at about 5' 9", but I think you will find a lot of buffetting and wind noise with the stock shield. It really bothered me, especially now that its pretty cold in the northeast. I put a 9" light tint shield on from Sin State and it made a huge difference. It's not perfect, but it's much better than the stock 4". The stereo sounds much better now without all that wind noise around my ears. The quality of the shield from Sin State is top notch, shipping was quick, and we're talking a third of the price of the HD shield. Seems like a no brainer to me.

 

The 4 inch keeps the wind off my face but I feel it on my helmet. I'm thinking the 6 will take care of that situation.

 

I think I'm going with the Black Chrome that J&P Cycles sell. It's a 6". The 4" has the wind hitting the top of my head which is fine by me, BUT the passenger sitting a little higher has it hitting her in the face.
