Lawernce,

For the record, there are no "others".
Where that came from I have no idea.

But tell em all I say "HI" anyway.

Have a good trip and be safe.

Coziahr Harley Davidson-Buell in Decatur, IL did my tune. They were the only dealership nearby with a Dyno and able to tune a SERT equipped bike. No Dyno at the local dealership. I'm still looking for a shop that can do a good SERT tune. It seems that more people around here use the Power Commander.
If I had it to do all over again, I would go with the Power Commander, it's easier to find a tuner...

Default Ported Heads What A Difference

I have a 03 Ultra. When I bought it it had the 95" kit with 203 cams already installed. I recently went with Andrews 37G cams to gain a little more power and eliminate the came chain and tensioners. The power was only slightly better than before. I decided to get some head porting done and after much research I decided on having Dan Vance do my heads. He was a pleasure to work with. He answered all my questions in a very timely manner. He uses a unique design of his own and he has been racing HD's for a long time. I sent him a check and I had the heads within ten days! What a difference they have made! My bike is very responsive and the HP gain is quite impressive. The bike was tuned on a CycleDyn dyno so the numbers a very conservative. I feel there is probably a little more power and torque in there as it was very warm here when the bike was tuned. I highly recomend Dan Vance to anyone wanting to have their heads ported! I have a friend with a RG with the 103" and 255 SE cams. He has a PCIII and the bike has been dyno tuned. My bike is slightly faster. I am very pleased!!!

95" flattop cast pistons
Andrews 37G
SE high flow air box
PCIII/USB
V&H True duals w/Rinehart slip-ons
Dan Vance Ported Heads

Default New 95" Build

Just got my bike back from build / tune. 2003 FLHT -Dan Vance Heads, JIMS 95" Cylinders, KB 10.5 Pistons, Andrews 55G Cams, S&S Gear Drive, TP Roller Rockers-Rocker Boxes, SE Roller Lifters, Samson "Calibre" 2 into 1 Exhaust. Power Commander. Torque 104.7 HP 97.5
The guy who did the tune and the guy who did the heads (Dan Vance) both think the numbers could be better with different exhaust, maybe D&D "Fat Cats". Don't really know which way to go, its kinda expensive to test exhaust systems. Guess I'll just ride it a few miles and see where I need the power more (on the bottom side or the top end) and try to find an exhaust that will work. I'm not at all unhappy with the build, we just always want MORE.

I had my 2000 Ultra to 94 hp & 96 tor. with the normal, head job,big bore, cams and supertrap exhaust. The power was good, but when it got heat soaked it pinged. Got rid of hicomp. pistons, and it was better. Just got a 2009 Ultra, and I think just pipes this time.
You guys got a nice forum here !!! Nick
