Dude...Is that a 8-Track player you gonna ditch? I gotta score a new 8-track for my ride. Got some good Hendricks I wanta hear! ;-) Oh yeah, Smoke on the water.....Ok, I'm back, sorry for the short trip.

Sounds like a great system you are gonna get. Please let us know how it works out! Thanks
I have some old "Quad" Animals 8-tracks that I'll send you along with a turntable. LOL

Phurion, I'd like to hear more once you get it installed.

If I were installin it I'd be happy to give you a review.

Alas, swaite has volunteered to guinea pig it for us and I was merely passing on the links I'd found to someone else asking for info.

That is a nice unit. Wal-Mart at one time carried them. I had considered one when my first Pioneer AVIC went **** up. I can't say there was anything I didn't like about it. Making a water tight cover for it would have proved to be a challenge. That is the about the only thing I'd recommend for your install, some sort of cover for when the rain gets heavy, your away from your garage on a trip and the bike has to sit out side, while washing the bike (How I killed my first AVIC).

Looking forward to the review of your install.

As soon as it arrives I will let you all know how it turns out. I am sure its not water proof but I will seal it up good in the fairing and take the faceplate off if I get caught in the rain (mabey I will try and devise some type of cover that I can snap on and off like on boats)

the big issue is the SWI-X as I'm not a super electronics guy, hopefully the instructions are good [&:]

Here you go, I'm not telling you what to do just what I did to combat the water. Remember I killed my first radio with just a little hose water. Should you get it wet while washing the bike don't turn the bike on, let it dry out first. Water and electrical components don't mix!

Good luck, neither one of those will fit without major alterations.....

That is what I ran into with mine. The flip up screen was simple to combat, leave it closed. It was the size of the factory opening coupled with the size of the aftermarket radio accessories that proved to be challenging.
