Default axle size

Does anybody know if there is a change in axle diameter between the 07 and 08 touring bikes? I had heard that the 08 had gone from the 1 inch to 25mm? Can anyone confirm this or refute it?
Aprreciate the help.

Yeah that's what I thought. I recently got a set of 21/18 wheels, and they have the 25mm bearings. I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to make them work.

just to make it more confusing the pre-01 touring bikes have a 3/4 in rear axle.

I have to say, this being my first Harley, it's one of the more frustrating bikes I've owned to work on. The combination of metric and standard bolts, not to mention the 12 point bolts are a pain in the ****. I know it will get better as I get to know all the in's and out's, but it's a pain gettin to know it. So right now due to a slight comunication error and mix up, my bike sits on the hoist with the wheels off and I still don't know what bearings and spacers I need to make it work, though I should hear back from Forge-tec tomorow.
