to the best of my limited knowledge, '06 is first year for factory stereo to play mp3's. as for burning a file or music cd... if your using Nero or some similar program that has 'easy mode' or something similar, you can tell it to "burn a music cd" and it will set itself up to make a cd compatible with standard cd player, meaning it will take your mp3 or .wmv ( I think thats the new windows file extension for music file) and convert it to a .wav file which is what a standard cd player needs to read it correctly. for newer stereos that are capable of reading mp3's you need to set up nero or whatever burning program your using to burn just the files to the cd as mp3's so you burn a 'data' disc. I guess setting it to make a data disc is the terminology I should have used earlier instead of saying file mode... sorry my bad.

Gotchya! I use Roxio EZ CD Creator...can't instal Nero AND Roxio oin the same system....they figured that out!

BTW..if ya use POwer Point and do slide shows...you need to convert the tunes to .wav format to have tunes as a background...a program called Simple does that nicely (free!)

I buy mp3's from http://allofmp3.com/ for as little as .05 per song and use windows media player 10 to burn to cd as mp3 or cda (cd audio).

Yes it’s true my S/G will play mp3 format. Anything prior to 06 won’t
so I wanted to put out a compilation that anyone with a cd player could enjoy.

As to the suggestions there are a lot of good ones. I may revise my disc some
But songs like The Doors Riders on the Storm and the like are not loud enough
To hear all the subtle parts as the case with a lot of Pink Floyd (My Favorite)

Wow all great muics taste here. Just a thought, a few of us at work and myself all "dabble" in music and making disc and loading I-pods ect. Currently have 160 Gig of music all in MP3 format. Wondering if could start a thread here for downloads? I would be willing to post a bunch up front and then provide music at request if I have it. Getting from computer to your Bike there are many ways, I-Pod (or any MP3 Player) is easest. Recording MP3 to CD isn't hard just have to make sure your player can play them. Sorry now back to the question at hand.

Add Stepenwolf
CCR
Boston
REO Speedwagon
Journey
Sting
David Allen Coe
and the list can go on and on.... Sounds like alot of you all jam when riding.

ORIGINAL: sporty12

How about Arlo Guthrie's "The Motorcycle Song?"

"I don't want a pickle,
Just want to ride my motorsickle."

I had that on a 4-track player.
Before 8-tracks.

Russ
Holy Cow! You've really dated yourself now. I'll bet you remember how you had to stick somthing on the side to keep the tape tracking right? I thought 8 track was the top of technology. I even thought it would last long after cassette tapes faded from memory. Show ya' what I know.
