I agree, the first time I got off my bike I crapped my pants when it rolled! [&:]

Hehehehee,&nbsp\\; glad someone else peed in their pants.&nbsp\\;[8D]

It has caught me and made me jump several times, but i'm getting over it now.&nbsp\\; Most of the time.

The Harley dealer told me the slide them around all the time on the stand and have never had the stand fail.

Good enough !

Nothing wrong with the kickstand. Make sure it's out all the way and once the weight of the bike is on it, it's locked.

The Harley jiffy stand beats the rest.&nbsp\\; It is by far the best side stand on any motorcycle that I have ever owned.
&nbsp\\;
I have been taking a lot of road side pictures (HogTales' ABCs of Touring) this year.&nbsp\\; If my EG had a Goldwing type of side stand, I would have had a tow truck picking the bike out of the ditch more then once.

Just recently picked up first Harley...The only thing that has me befuddled is the fricking kickstand, it always has me holding my breath, I understand how it&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;works, but scares the crap out of me, always think it's gonna give away.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; Anybody else ever experience this, once down and locks in it always moves some(01 Ultra)
It's supposed to "move some".&nbsp\\; Get used to it.&nbsp\\; It's a solid stand.

Default kickstand mod

I took mine off, heated it with a torch while held in a vice, rotated kickstand forward. Now bike does not roll forward after setting down kickstand.

Look at the kickstand on the 2009 Ultra - looks more sturdy. Anyone know if the 09 will fit say an 05 Ultra?
