Dealer overfilled my '08 by over half a quart at the 1000 mile service...found out when the motor started hesitating on the highway and blowing out oil through the air filter. I drained the excess, replaced the air filter and after a few hard pulls&nbsp\\;it runs fine.&nbsp\\;

Still, should I have any worries about long term damage?&nbsp\\;

 

bring it to the dealers attn and check your fluid levels there should be no damage

 

I agree. There should be no damage, but you should let the dealer know about the problem, so nobody else gets burned.

 

You get the dealer to pay for the air filter?&nbsp\\; I would think they should pay for their indifference.&nbsp\\; Had the same thing happen to me, fool me once, shame on me, I'm not going back to my stealer's service department.&nbsp\\; I guess that's what pisses me off the most when I see these things happen.&nbsp\\; Just another tech who doesn't give a damn.
