+1 for taking the inner fairing and cap to a good auto paint shop with a PPG paint mixing set-up. \\; There are PPG paint codes for almost all the HD colors, or the color can be matched taking a "picture" of the color on the bike. \\; The HD paint is sold in quart units which is way too much for the job\\; and Color-rite and others are not a bargain. \\; Doing it yourself buying the paint versus paying $100 buck to have it done might save you $25.

Yes you can paint it yourself. Using four cans of Krylon Fusion spray paint. First remove the inner faring. Which will take a while. Once you have the inner faring removed sand the inner faring with a regular green scuff pad really well. Then clean it real well with alcohol to remove all dust and oils from the faring once it is completely dry. Follow the painting directions on the can and it will turn out great. My bike is black so matching the paint was easy. So far I have done my bike as well as two of my buddies bikes and all turned out great. I learned this from a buddy who done his two years ago and it still looks great. Best of all total cost less than $25. Hope this helps.
