Just goes to show we never know what life will throw at us. Doesn't make me question riding because thats when I feel most alive.

I was talking to a guy saturday who had his rear tire blow out on a 2007 Ultra at 70 MPH while 2up with his wife and it only had 7,000 miles on the bike. He said he checked the pressure regularly and it just blew out and he lost control and they went down, they were lucky and both survived with non serious injuries. It could happen to any of use. Prayers go out to the family and friends

That is horrific. I ride 2-up every day because the wife and I communte together and than dodge deer at midnight on the way home. I cant even imaginine what the husband is going thru now. Prayers sent that god helps him thru this.

And I just had my rear tire changed at 10,000 miles when it looked good still. Now I feel like I didnt waste the money.

I agree with MiniMe. I picked up a nail in the rear tire of my Ultra at 55 and it felt like the back end was fish-tailing. I'm just glad I wasn't on a curve when it happened.

I feel for the guy... thats a tough thing to have to go through.
