I just installed HD cooler on my 08UC. Made enough of a difference to make it worth the cost and the install was extremely simple.

Have one on my Ultra - best $$$ spent on the bike. Feel much better about the engine temp. In moderate OA temps (like below 75), temp stays right around the oil cooler thermostat trip of 185 degrees. Had the Moco fan - as others, they don't stand up to the engine vibrations - removed it and installed an air horn - felt that the oil cooler was good enough.

Those fans look like crap. Makes me look for the pull start.

Yep, agree, the Moco fan is a bit ugly - was another factor in replacing it with the MiniBeast air horn.

+1 on all points. The correct oil temp is 220-230 (per the MOCO.....not me).

I think the Moco states that 230° is normal operating temperature, and "correct" implies it is ideal, which IMO it isn't. From my experience and layman's knowledge of oil chemistry this is too high to be running at all times, and I'm happy to say that I've hit 230° only twice, both times last summer and only briefly in heavy traffic. So far this summer it hasn't happened since I installed some fans on the oil cooler, which help. Max so far has been 220°, and that time I had forgotten to switch the fans on. I'd like to see 180-200° as a normal operating temperature, and that's what I'm getting for the most part in summer.

I appreciate your input, but I'm a lot more comfortable with the MOCO's numbers. Doesn't mean I'm questioning your facts, but rather, I think that the MOCO has a great deal of experience and engineering data to support their numbers.

Oil seriously breaks down and degrades up around 225 and higher. After I put a jagg on my 90hp evo I never ran over 220 in 100*. If your getting real high temps in the area you guys live in, I would change my fluids at half the interval.
