What kind of temperatures are you experiencing? The cooler, depending on ambient temperature can drop oil temperatures 15-20 degrees as long as the bike is moving. Must have air flow. If you can afford to do it I would put one on. Can not hurt anything and may do a lot for your engine.

The worst thing for any internal combustion engine is heat, especially an air cooled one. So anytime you can remove heat do it. They should be standard on the bikes, but I guess that will screw up the after market business. Jagg makes the coolers for HD.

Roger that! Our friends at the MoCo are THE masters at creating an aftermarket!

I put one one my 08 RG and dropped temps 20-30 degrees depending on ambient temps. I am always watching the oil temp gauge and get nervious about it. My top temp I have had was 228 in bad traffic and 108 outside, once I started moving the temp dropped to 200.
I have also installed the fan kit that someone sells and it helps in traffic, I guess it was worth the piece of mind!

All Twin Cam 96" motors should have an oil cooler.

HD puts them on all their SE and CVO bikes. Wonder why????

This is not JMO.

Jagg USA used to make the oil coolers for Harley. Harley now save money and have them made in taiwan.

start with slipons and stage1 - that made a big difference for me. plus lots of power no cooler on my 08RKC and i've never seen it over 225F on the dipstick gauge. and i must be one of the few that doesn't have problems with the LED dipstick
