Travroc, you're gonna have to change your avatar when you get a bagger.

Go for it, and after a year or two you're going to want a fairing with tunes. Just call Dead Center Fairing for their detachable, and you've got the best of both worlds. I did, and I love it. Then ride the tires off it. Teach the little lady to ride, and delegate the Sporty to her for awhile. Pretty soon she'll want a Deluxe, or maybe a SG. Like Nike said, JUST DO IT!

Baggers are more comfortable and lots of storage. It will feel heavier until you get use to it and it is worth it

Yep, I will agree with all the rest. Had my Road King a year now and love it, but I also love my original bike a 01' Kawasaki ZRX 1200. It would be tough to part with it so I know how you feel about your sporty. I use the ZRX mostly for commuting now. I also am thinking hard about getting a Dead Center fairing as having tunes added once in a while would be cool.
Good Luck and keep watching Craigslist were you will find a deal.

when you realize you dont ride the sporty anymore then you can sell it and make that bagger a hot rod bagger then you wont ever miss that sporty for sure.
