Default Need a Back Rest for FLHT

What would you recommend as a back rest and pad for an 05 Electra Glide with the stock touring seat?? Also, has anyone seen a movable back rest that the rider can use solo, or can be used by the passenger when moved back?? Thanks for help.

I would recommend the quick detach chrome sideplates with a standard height upright and a comfort stich pad all from HD. Then as for the rider backrest I would recommend either the fixed or adjustable from HD or one from Mustang.

I've just put the HD adjustable on my 05. Of all the money I've spent on my bike, the backrest has yielded by far the best return on my investment.

I have the HD adjustable. I really like the thing although there are some negatives.
1. It is very thick compared to the mustang.
2. It is flat, the Mustang is curved.
3. Installing the hardware and control is a PITA.

I think the Mustang looks better. I've seen several of them on other bikes.
