Question Make your own headset ? ? ?

It was pretty obvious to me the stock headset that you get with the new Ultra Classics suck, however I think the microphone is fine it is just those tiny speakers. I was thinking about buying a Logitech gaming headset with speakers small enough to fit in my HD Ultra Jet 3/4 helmet. There is actually a good amount of space in that helmet to get a good size speaker and still not have hot spots on your ear.

I was thinking about chopping the headset speaker wire right off at the earphone, then strip the wire enough so I could solder on the game headset ear speakers to the stock HD headset.

I was wondering if any electrician types could help me on this...I think it should work
