Default RED, not pink, bulbs?

OK, I put the mod on my new SG that turns the rear turn signals into run/stop/turn lights. I love the mod except for the color. I have smoked lenses on the bike so I got some red bulbs for the signals. They look red when the bike is off, but VERY pink when the lights (running, brake or turn) are on. BOOOOOOOO! Does anybody know of a bulb or LED that will work for this application and look red? Thanks.

The smoke and/or clear lenses milk out the red light coming from the bulbs. I just tried clear rear lenses w/ regular red bulbs. Looked lightish red/pinkish. I have gone back to the red lenses and clear bulbs.

Nothing short of red lenses and clear bulbs will give you the desired effect as far as I know.

Those run-brake modules are awful (at least the new ones). I've watched so many people almost rear ended by both cars and bikes because you cannot tell when you have the brakes on. It's because it looks like your brakes are on all the time!!! Too little change in intensity.

Take that thing off man before you get hurt...

I dont know what your talking about. I have the brake/running light harness on both my bikes, and the change in intensity of the tail light is exactly the same as it was before. On my DEuce I installed a LED tail light and that is bright as hell. I am shopping right now for the same tail light for my Street Glide.

Take it from me.....there is absolutely no problem with differentiating the running lights from the brake lights on either of my bikes.....if there was, I would not have them set up that way.

You're right. I have no idea what I'm talking about. Yours work great. Please...keep them. They look very cool. Take it from me...
