I use 75-110 Amsoil Severe gear in mine, I would use a multi vis oil of some sort instead of the old straight weight stuff.

The Redline you mention isn't the correct product.
It should read...
Redline: V-Twin Transmission Oil with Heavy Shockproof
This is a synthetic oil. Be certain that's what you want.
The color will be Pepto Bismol pink.
Although, the others mentioned are good oils, too.

I use this Redline oil. I buy the powerpak with everything I need to change all 3 holes. I was using Amsoil and switched because my transmission was making noise when hot. It is much quieter with the Redline.

You're correct Piggy. This is the listing for that oil.

My indy said to run 75-90 Amsoil. It really runs and shifts good.

How can you run Harley Syn in the engine (figure it's 20/50?)..then run the same stuff in tranny and primary?
Hard to imagine Harley runs 20/50 where others (here) say to run 85-140 weight.

I changed my tranny oil in the RG over to the Red Line V twin shockproof this past weekend. I do notice the shifting noise is a bit softer now.
