I'm looking for better sound on my SG, I don't need the latest 100000 watt amp and finest speakers, just something stronger/clearer than the stockers that will be problem free, suggestions? Will just Hogtune front speakers make a noticable difference?

Changing speaker can help quite abit...but remember...when you don't have the power to drive a good speaker...you still don't get the crisp and clean sound you might want...That's just audio dynamics. Providers Like Hog Tunes and our own Firecap501 can sell you packages that give you great sound for a good price! Hawg Wired is much more expensive but has good packages too. Look around on the forum and online and you'll find a plethora of decent stuff out there...come back and ask questions about what the other riders have...we have a great group here...someone will definitely show you the way! this is the truth -- you must be some type of audiophile -- the gains you are going to get by just changing the speakers are going to be mimnimal.
The problem is the stock head unit is under powered --- the easiest and least expensive thing you can do is add an amp and new speakers -- new speakers by themselves will be better.
I have had the following:
MB Quart -- excellent but expensive
Polk Audio -- good
Pioneer -- good
Kenwood -- good but could not hold up
Infinity Kappas -- the best all around speakers you can buy (expensive 120 - 140)
Hog Tunes --- better than stock (sold them on ebay after two days)
If you go the amp route make sure it's pushing at least 50/75 watts of clean power per channel
You have to remember for the most part theese are 5 1/4 speakers (you can fit 6 1/2 kappas in the fairing but it will take some work) they are not going to put out bass that you are use to hearing your car.
The above statement is my humble opinion and I approve this message
