I almost did not ride this morning due to the cold and fog, but once I got out of the shower the sun had risen and it looked nice. Boy am I glad I did. Had to be one of the most beautiful rides I have had and I was just going to work. The frost had covered everything and the sun was just right to light it all up. I felt like I was riding in a Christmas postcard (a little cold, 28 degrees). Sometimes life hands you little things that make you thankful for being alive and able to ride. Yep some of my "best" rides have started out with me wondering if it was too cold or too wet or too something.... Several years ago I learned to just ride anyway and I am normally blessed!

Went for a cool crisp ride a couple of weekends ago and the colors were just spectacular.

Not really a religous person but it made me wonder why it is that we really don't appreciate the gifts of God until later in life.

Yes i know what you mean, there are just some days that i'm grinning ear to ear and just soaking it all up as i ride. Everything is perfect, the weather, the road, etc.
