Default Has anyone tried the Dunlop elite 3?

I am putting new wheels on my 07 police electraglide. HD Roadwinders, 18in front and 16in rear. I have been hearing a lot about the Dunlop Elite 3. I see they come standard on the Goldwing. Does anyone have experience with them on a Harley Tourer? Please give me some feedback about fit, largest size for the rear etc. Seems like the 16 rear only come in a 140 wide or a 160 wide. being a newer tire I don't know how the rear sits under the HD fender. If you have a suggestion for a better tire in these size combinations, I am listening. 18 front, 16 rear.

thanks

I put a set on my 05 ultra a couple months back. I had been running metzlers before that.

Used the 3's on 4 different wings since 1990, always average around 17,000 on the rear and a couple thousand more on the front. Found them to offer good traction on wet or dry roads. Very good tracking on grooved pavement. All of this and a smooth ride too. However, be prepared to listen to a whine especially off the rear tire soon after 10 or 12,000.

a whine at 10 or 12000 sounds better than the wallet emptying for a new tire!

put front and rear on my 07. Have 10G on them now and still look new, plus you do not feel the groves in the road as bad. Handle great even in the rain.
