I was out riding with some friends the other day and the folks in front of me went over a speed bump on their Ultra and bottemed out on the kickstand spring. The kickstand came out and started grinding on the pavement. We all stopped and found some wire to hold the kickstand up and then we were on our way again.
We stopped for gas and we had to take the wire off the kickstand so they could fill up. Again we wired it up and we were on our way.
After the day was over I thought about what had happened to my friends Ultra and how bad things could have been with that kickstand grinding on the pavement.
I checked online and found a saftey part for all touring HD bikes with a kickstand spring that might hit something like a speed bump.
FYI.... Its called a Kickstand Kaddy.
I just put one on my 07 Road King.

Has any one ever heard of a Kickstand Kaddy??
I feel alot better without the fear of my kickstand coming down while riding...
