Default paint peeling

The paint is peeling on my master cylinder cover on my 07 RKC whats up with that any body know I think it should be covered under waranty but has anybody seen this

It is covered and it happens a lot. The fluid leaks out and eats the paint.

+1.. has to be leaking a bit... thats why they make em chrome and polished

I had the same problem. Your brake fluid is leaking through the gasket under the cover. Check to see if the cover is tight if it is then remove it and check the gasket for cracks. Don't think this is covered under warrenty as lots of things shake loose on bikes and need to be checked and retightened.,

the one on my 06 std did the same thing...it was covered by HD.

Covered under warranty for 2 years right? After that you're screwed?

Mine is doing the same on my 2.5 year old bike.

Yup 2 years. Can always find take-offs though

My 06 did the same thing. Its covered under Warranty. They gave me the std lid credit towards a chrome lid. Its been fine ever since - about a season and half of riding.
