ditto. the factory paints in batches only. they make no customer service jobs even if they screw up. it gets painted when it's time to paint that color. took 8 weeks to get the right color matched bags.

I think they do paint runs by color and it depends on how close your order is to that scheduled run. My lowers took only 12 days including shipping time, but my Tour Pak was received 28 days after ordering.

Does it ever come in 2 weeks, more like 4, closer to the 6 or "it's been 6 weeks and I'm still waiting!!!". I've just never read any threads on this topic and with all of the new 09's coming out, I'm sure others will be wondering the same? Thanks ahead of time.

It depends.......I've ordered painted parts.....got some of the parts in a couple of weeks and wait for ten weeks for another (all the same color....09 Red Hot Sunglo).

The same thing happened when I ordered painted parts for me SEEG after my accident. Some parts came right away and some I had to wait on.

As was explained to me by HD at the Sturgis rally a couple of years ago.....they will do a paint run of misc. parts, a color at a time. When parts get ordered, they'll run out of some parts before others and have to wait for another run before they restock that color.

So, while the painted leg fairings came first, then the saddle bag spoilers about a week later........had to wait several more weeks for the painted inner fairing.

Oh my, this just happened to me. Luckily the insurance adjuster said I could ride it while we are waiting for the fender.
