I agree 100 percent. Glad to see its not just me.

Ive tried recurves from two vendors, (Fastair and Clearview) IMHO, while they may kick the air VERY slightly higher, (1/2"-3/4") they create MORE turbulence doing it. Both mine rattled the sunglasses right off my face. Changed to a NON recurve of the SAME height, problem gone.

Will not waste money on another $100+ recurve shield again.

BTW, Fastaire DID contact me when I ordered a plain shield from them 3 weeks after ordering their recurve, wanted to find out what I did NOT like about the recurve. Seemed genuinely interested in finding what he could do to improve it. I think he eventually stopped offering a recurve due to problems with getting them manufactured. But the fact that he NOTICED that I ordered another one after the recurve, and made the effort to contact me to resolve why, shows very good customer service and a commitment to improving his products.

For that reason, he is #1 on my list for shields.

No visiblity what-so-ever. I can see fine over mine and I think it looks sharp. To each monkey their own tree!

I've had the 8" black shield for 2+ years. A great value.

I have the 9" dark grey and the 8" light grey, I can look over both of them, so night or day riding doesn't change anything. The stock 12 was right in my line of sight. Can't beat fastaires prices.

Ordered a 10" dark grey today. I am excited for the summer and the expectation of a value.

Pictured below is the 10 inch dark grey from Fastaire - Great guys. I'm 6'5 & the 8 inch wasn't tall enough so I went 10 inch.
