Default Pullin a trailer

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a trailer hitch for my 08 FLHTC, and does anyone know if I should upgrade my clutch and if so what type should it be? Thank you

MCHITCH is pretty good. Check out Hitchdoc also.

This is the one I went with a couple of years ago. I really like it, and it comes off when I am not using it. Unless you want one of those that stay on all the time, and you can put one of those duck or fish heads on it. LOL

How difficult is it to wire up the trailer harness to the MC?

It comes with a plug in pig tail, and it is painless.

I went with bushtec because it is almost invisible with the stinger removed. Comes with plug n play harness, jam nut keeps it from rattling when installed. Not cheap, but good quality item. I have not upgraded clutch yet, and have noticed no slippage or increased need for clutch adjustment from normal.

+1 on the Bushtec, just get the ball instead of the hitch pin. It may very well be the best hitch/reciever combo on the market and it was custom-made for the FLH. Order the FLH harness and like campincowboy says, it's basically a plug and play.

OK, that BushTec is top of the line stuff. It's definitely on my shopping list, and I've spent hours looking at other trailers available. I'm convinced that it's the best. Many others out there though for a lot less $$.

I pull one of these Aluma Motorcycle Trailer - MCT from time to time and absolutely thinks it the best. I installed my own wiring harness using a regular flat plug with the converter to change harley style brake and turn signals to double element bulbs. It was a lot cheaper than what Harley wanted for the kit. I bought my hitch from a manufacturer that sold on ebay. Wolf Mfg or something like that, he was from Colorado and builds a real nice receiver style hitch in black powder coat. I believe I paid 125.00 plus shipping. It is hard to see since it blends it with the bumper on the back fender..
