welcome to the roadglide family Jeff. If you plan to spend all day in the saddle get a sundowner seat. Although once ya put on your first part you're doomed.....it snowballs Depending on the condition of your spine ya might consider a rider backrest. From there it's either bling or bang. or heaven help ya both. I just replaced my departed 2003 Roadglide (it died a horrible death) picked up a 06 Roadglide. I'm taking it back in tomorrow for it's steroid injection 95ci, ported heads, High comp pistons, gear drive cams, D&D Fat Cat 2-1 exhaust. rolled it all into the purchase of the bike. (see what I mean about snowballin). Anyway, enjoy the ride bro. oh and post some pics ASAP.

BIG ROADGLIDE GROUP HUG!!!!

I changed the windshield to a clearview 16"... it reduces the buffeting around your head, HOGTUNES...you can hear the radio at 80 mph, hidden antenea...cleans up the back of the bike.

Found the bike I want, Road Glide. For all of you with input, thank you very much. Now for all of you that have one is there anything that you just had to have for your Road Glide. Anything that you would change or love the way it is. Will hopefully be picking mine up later this week, weather permitting.

================================================== ===============

Recently traded in an '03 RG as for the kind of riding I now do I really didn't need the "Big girl"

Did do some cross country runs, the longest being one month, 5300 miles, all done in comfort. However, in that comfort department, I did have to trade out the original seat, which was something from the Inquisition. What I opted for was the Saddlemen Road Sofa whcih turned out to the the absolute best money I ever spent on the bike. I did do the fog lights, sissy bar and pad and luggage rack.
Congrats on a great bike!!

Congrats on the Roadglide!As like you,this is my first HD also.
If you are driving around town a lot, maybe a radar/laser detector would help.One of those would have helped me yesterday when I got pulled over in a speed trap.
I did not see the half dozon motorcycle cops hiding in a parking lot.It was a 25mph zone near a senior center.After the polite officer handed me the ticket, him and another officer where checking out my 06 RG.One of them said that they wish the SJPD issued Road Gides instead of Electra Glides.

Hey BM - that looks like my bike in your picture!!!

It is......so is PipeDaddy's.........I don't know about any blue bike, though.......I do see a super fine LUXURY TEAL RoadGlide in there, it's kinda hard to see hidding in the back like that silver and black one.......that sure was a fun ride......I just love it when my ride takes me to Climax.............OOOHHHH Yeah!!!!!

I finally went to a RG this year, and will never have anything again. I Love it !

Had a 2002 SERK that I put 70+ on and thought it was great, but the RG is only 2 months old and already has 2500. Awesome ride.

Great Choice.
