Default Bassani Megaphone 2" vs 2.5"

Looking to do slip-ons on my 09 SG. Thinking about going with the Bassani Megaphones. Want to go with something that's different than what everyone else has.(Reinharts and V&H Monster Ovals) I want louder than stock, but not so loud that the misses won't want to ride with me. Anyone have any history with Bassani and the sound difference between the 2" or 2.5". Will also be doing Ness Big Sucker and SERT. Thanks....

I just ordered the 2.5". I'll be installing them this weekend. I'll let you know how they sound.

Thanks, Unfortunatly I'm trying to pick these up this weekend. My dealer is having an open house, and I can pick them up @ 15% off.

as far as experience with bassani, i love my bassani's and compared to others with rhinehart, thunder headers, etc. i still love my bassasni's, with the minor mods i have, my bike sounds and feels much better than many other friends (although i do have the 103 upgrade on mine)... couldnt tell you how the two (2 or 2.5) are compared though

Default Bassani Megaphones

I ride an 08 Street Glide with Bassani Megaphones and could'nt be happier. Dealer put them on before I picked her up last spring. Very nice rumble at idle and only loud when you really crack the throttle. All last year I just had the stock headpipes, no download,or high flow intake/filter. Today I just picked the bike up, had the new SE Super Tuner and SE intake and filter installed and am very happy. Bike pulls strong from 2,000 rpm right up through the range. O.K. it's not a killer, but the tuner and air intake/filter definitely made a difference. I ride with a friend 09 Flhtc and 2000 Softail Heritage. The EGC has V&H basic slip ons and are louder than my Bassani's, and Heritage is V&H Longshots. Both bikes are much louder than mine. I think I have the 2" baffle. Very nice mufflers, you will be happy !
