Default Where to mount light sensor

I've got a bikerbuddy headlight modulator and was wanting to know where you've mounted your light sensor? Are these light sensors very sensitive or do I need to make sure it's on top of the handle bars for the light to reach it? I was thinking of tie wrapping it to the wire loom that runs along the under side of the handle bars like this.

That should work fine. They don't require much light to work.

Thanks. Just wanted to make sure before I put the fairing back on.

I ran mine along the wire for the driving lamps and mounted it on the underside of the plate where the driving lamp and turn nignal are mounted. Velcro'd it there and it works great.

Just be careful not to install it where oncoming headlights will shine on it at night so it won't start flashing.
