The Shuffle or Nano can count on the Ram mounts with no issues but hard drive MP3 players can't
He's right about that. Now on my replacement ipod from Apple I put some rubber in between the handlebars and the mount to help reduce the vibs and haven't had a problem since. (knock on wood)

Road Glide w/Ipod setup. I put the iPod in a neoprene case with a clip on the back and rode with it in the glove box for miles without a problem (resting inside a beanie). Recently, I just clip it onto the clutch cable so I can get at the controls to skip a song. The case will keep the water out and vibration is not a problem. You will need almost 2 ft. of cable for this set up.

Another nice option www.RidersClaw.com
The chrome is a nice look, accessibilty is simple, and you can charge while riding.

In my opinion Gilbos440rt from this site offers the slickest mount around!! Check him out before you buy.
