Sounds like a good deal. My friend just bought a 99 Road King with 9,200 miles on it. He gave $9,500. It was fully loaded with almost every piece of chrome available for that bike. Beautiful bike, but I think you got the better deal.

Sounds good to me. Less than a year ago (I know. A year is a long time in this market. ) I sold my cherry 96 Softail Custom with about 50k miles for $9500. I feel good because the buyer loves it.

If you really like the bike, it really does not matter what you paid for it. The only bad deal is when you buy something that you are unhappy with. Money is only the means to get what, or to where, you want.

Sold my 2002 Road King FLHR in Sept 08 for $12K. Bike had 38k miles, black with True Dual Rineharts, lace wheels, chrome front end, Sundowner seat and a detachable sissy bar plus some other little doodads.

Based on my own sale numbers, I would say you did pretty good.
